If we are going to have guests this summer, we need a shower down there. Good tile progress this weekend! Should (fingers crossed) finish next weekend.

TV Console for Murphy's Room
New console for the TV which rids of our last "college" like furniture - an old TV cabinet built for old style TV in oak. Horrible.
Careful observers might remember the chair. It is from the Jays, and it was peach (also horrible!).

First doors "finished" upstairs
Well, on one side and without paint.
Here is a before to remember how silly we have been living!
And after.

Guest Bathroom: Upper cabinet installation
Before: Cabinet is sitting on counter and you can see the hideous radon pipe.
After: Cabinet installed! It looks great, and we never have to see the ugly pipe again! There is also plenty of storage.

583 Selborne Rd: This was a little sad; it looked very neglected especially compared to Blaa/Lock house.

Counter and sink in the guest bathroom
First, a moment, writing on the blog is really sad for me because I always did this blog for my mama. She wanted updates every day during major construction (or really probably always!). I would get in trouble if I skipped days but put up multiple posts in one day (no tricking that lady!). My last post on laundry before and after was right before Eric and I made a surprise trip to Albuquerque, which turned out to be a very good thing to do. I wish she could see the sink because it is lovely.
This counter with integrated sink and shower bench are made of concrete. A couple of years ago Eric and I went on a house tour and the house had multiple concrete items (so many we thought the concrete guy "Concrete Pete" owned the house). We kept the card and waited for the right location. The guest bathroom is it.
Next up in that bathroom is the top cabinet, which sits on the right hand side of the counter.

The most dramatic before and after ever...
I present the laundry room. Eric installed my faucet this morning so my sink is ready to go! We do have a small bit of red in the second storage room as a remembrance.

Family room pictures
I know doing multiple posts in a single day does not count!
Eventually, this room will have a movie theatre area, a game table area, and a small "mud room" area. If you live in Colorado, you appreciate the need for a tiled area that you can enter the house and take off your snowy boots while sitting!
You know that you are ready for a break
When the contractor leaves for the last time and all you can think is
Free at last, free at last, thank God almighty, I am free at last.
Yes, there is some drama in this family!

Adventures in painting
Basement is painted. Paint sprayer died just after starting the last coat of paint this morning so we had to do the rest by hand. I will say that painting with no doors, floors, electrical, or furniture is easy. We finished together in a couple of hours. We both look forward to work so we can rest!
Pictures soon.
Doors to be installed starting tomorrow.
